Gran parte de esto se lo debo a mi padre, Oscar Rodríguez de la Rosa, quien llegó a este país cuando yo tenía 5 años, junto con mis otros cuatro hermanos y con mi madrecita, quien también fue una gran bendición en mi vida, todos originarios de Nogales, Sonora.
Por varios años, trabajé en diferentes lugares, la verdad no sabía qué quería hacer con mi vida. Un día fui a ver una oportunidad de empleo en una compañía de aires acondicionados, en la que comencé a trabajar y con el paso del tiempo fui aprendiendo, me encantaba ayudar a la gente y al mismo tiempo ganarme la vida.
Durante siete años, trabajé como empleado en cuatro diferentes compañías de aire acondicionado. Todos mis amigos, familiares y vecinos sabían muy bien que yo podía ayudarles con sus aires acondicionados, después de una jornada de trabajo de 8 a 10 horas, llegaba a mi casa y seguía trabajando otras 3 o 4 horas por mi propia cuenta. Pronto me percaté que ganaba más dinero trabajando así.
Al correr de los años, me hice de algunos clientes y tomé la decisión de independizarme, me compré una camioneta tipo van en $1,500 dólares y mandé imprimir 500 tarjetas de presentación para mi negocio, salí a trabajar por mi propia cuenta y así de pronto, nació Oscar’s Cooling & Heating, sin embargo, tenía un problema, no contaba con una licencia de contratista y legalmente no podía instalar sistemas de aire acondicionado, necesitaba la licencia para poder alcanzar otro nivel.
Ante esta situación, Trini Rodríguez, mi hermano, comenzó ayudarme y aprendió el oficio. Un día le dije “¿Por qué no consigues la licencia de contratista? Si lo logras te doy el 50% de las ganancias del negocio”.
Trini enfocado en esa misión, estudió y se esforzó por más de cuatro meses y un día, Trini hizo el examen y logró pasar la prueba. ¡Oscar’s Cooling & Heating comenzó a crecer y a crecer y a crecer!
Hoy tenemos más de veinte empleados y contamos con diez camionetas de servicio. Este año iniciamos operaciones en el área de Phoenix, y hemos desarrollado un ambiente muy positivo aquí en Oscar’s Cooling & Heating, los empleados no quieren irse ¡Hemos forjado una gran familia! Contamos con veinte empleados y diez de ellos son miembros de nuestra familia.

At Oscar’s Cooling & Heating we serve people with honesty, respect, and passion for what we do. That is our philosophy, for our staff and, of course, our clients.
I owe a lot to my father, Oscar Rodríguez de la Rosa. He came to this country from Nogales Sonora, when I was 4 years-old, and my other four siblings, my dear mother played a huge role as well, she was a blessing in my life.
For years, I tried different jobs, honestly, I didn’t know what to do, but I finally gave a chance to a different job: an opportunity at an air-conditioning company, where I was hired at once, through years, I was learning and I enjoyed to service people while making a living.
During seven years, I was hired at four different air-conditioning companies and my friends, neighbors, and relatives counted on me to repair their air-conditioning system, I used to work on my own 3 or 4 hours and I realized I was making more money when I worked by myself.
In the course of time, I got clients and decided to work independently, I got a Van for $1,500.00 bucks and had 500 business cards printed. I suddenly started my own business Oscar’s Cooling & Heating, however, there was something missing in the equation, I needed a license to move to the next level.
In this scenario, Trini Rodriguez, my brother, joined me and realized the perks of this profession. One day I said to him “Why don’t you get a contractor license? If you obtained it, I will give you 50%.
Trini went for it. He did he hard work, over four months, he prepared for the test, and he did it! Then, we started Oscar’s Cooling & Heating and since then it has grown up on and on.
Now we have more than twenty employees and ten service vehicles. This year we started serving the Phoenix greater metro area.
In this business we help and share with others. Oscar’s Cooling and Heating was founded with profound principles: Honesty, Hard Work, Perseverance and Respect for others. These principles were transmitted to me and my brother as we grew up together and my brother and I are very thankful to our parents for that.
