Rio Rico, Az.- La seleccion de All Stars categoria 50/70 intermedia de Nogales, Az. que en los dias pasados obtuvieron el campeonato del distrito 8 y a su vez, su clasificacion a regionales.
Enfrentó a la Selección de Douglas, Az, en una serie de 3 juegos al mejor de 2. Una serie que por la historia y rivalidad de estos dos equipos pronosticaba que seria no apta para cardiacos. Tal fue asi, que Nogales en el juego 1 empezó ganando el encuentro y Douglas le dió la vuelta al marcador. Pero Nogales le arrebató la victoria con amplio marcador de 17 carreras a 9.
Juego dramático
El segundo juego fue mas que dramatico, una montaña rusa para ambos equipos, para la seleccion de Douglas no habia mañana, mientras que para Nogales de perder tendria otra oportunidad. El juego mantuvo a todos los aficionados al filo de la butaca en el graderio, un juego que se decidió en la ultima entrada. Donde Nogales dejó tendido en el campo a Douglas con un marcador de 7 carreras a 6, que significo el campeonato del distrito 8 y el pase a los regionales que se celebraran a final de este mes de Julio.

They faced the Douglas National Team, Az, in a 3-game best-of-2 series.
