El apoyo de Changemakers Grant Program ofrece financiamiento directo a las pequeñas empresas establecidas en Tucson con el fin de incentivar el crecimiento económico de nuestra comunidad de pequeños empresarios y emprendedores.

¿Cómo solicitar los apoyos?
Información para realizar la solicitud
El periodo de recepción de solicitudes es del 1ro de enero al 11 de febrero de 2024. La solicitud incluye los siguiente:
Nombre de la compañía
Una presentación del perfil de la compañía y sus necesidades
Breve resumen:
- Una presentación escrita (2 a 6 páginas) que incluya:
- EL proyecto y cómo es que cumple con el fin para el que está pensado el apoyo
- Cómo pretende utilizar los fondos
- Una proyección del beneficio que tendrá para su empresa
- Los documentos pueden ser enviados en español o en inglés
Criterios de admisibilidad
Para que su candidatura sea aceptada para alguno de los apoyos de Changemaker Grants debe cumplir con lo siguiente:
- Ser una organización lucrativa establecida en Tucson (incluyendo el sur de Tucson)
- Contar con hasta 50 empleados
- Contar con registro de negocio ante el estado de Arizona a menos que el negocio esté registrado como propietario único (o que vaya a ser registrado antes de la entrega de los fondos)
- Estar registrado con un nombre diferente al del dueño o al nombre legal de la asociación, LLC o corporación (BDA por sus siglas en inglés), de ser el caso.
- Ser de propiedad y operación independientes y no ser dominante en su campo de operación.
- No estar enfrentando litigio o acción legal alguna
- No tener ningún historial penal derivado de asuntos financieros en los últimos tres años.
- No haber recibido ningún tipo de apoyo financiero por ninguno de los tres niveles de gobierno, federal, estatal o local, para cubrir los mismos costos y/o usos presentados en la solicitud
- No tener prevenciones o suspensión del uso apoyos financieros por parte del gobierno federal
- No ser franquicia, a menos que no sea subsidiaria de una corporación más grande

Por favor, considera que los apoyos específicos pueden requerir de criterios especiales (por ejemplo: antigüedad determinada).
Reglas y guía
- Ninguna compañía puede recibir más de 10,00 dólares de financiamiento total. Aunque, puede participar solicitando varios apoyos.
- El fondo no puede ser utilizado para ciertas cosas
- Su negocio debe estar ubicado en la Ciudad de Tucson (incluyendo la Ciudad del Sur de Tucson).
Si tu compañía es seleccionada, necesitará anexar lo siguiente:
- Copia de su registro fiscal IRS Form Tax Form W 9, recibirá 1099 al fin del año
- Número de identificación de impuestos IRS EIN #, ITIN #, o número de seguro social.
- Una cuenta de banco para recibir la transferencia de fondos del apoyo otorgado. No se pueden utilizar cuentas de banco personales
- Los beneficiarios deberán aportar prueba de recepción de los fondos una vez otorgados
- Grantees must agree to complete all surveys and date forms associated with the reporting for this funding.

- Each finalist may be required to attend an in-person final interview prior to award disbursement as well as an in-person grant kick-off session.

Happy New Year! Tesoro Business Services is all about serving the community and small businesses, so when the news of Groundswell Capital and the City of Tucson released that they are awarding up to $10,000 in 6 different grants I knew I had to share it with you.
The following is the information and purpose of the Grants, rules, eligibility and how to apply. They are also hosting classes on how to apply. The Changemakers Grant Program provides direct support to Tucson-based small businesses to support the economic growth of our entrepreneurial and small business community.
The programs’ objective is to support a variety of direct economic outcomes such as:

- Increased business revenue
- Decreased businesses expenses
- Workforce development and upskilling
- High-quality job growth and retention
How to Apply?
Application Information:
The application window is January 1, – Feb 11th, 2024. The application includes the following components.
Company
- An overview profile about your company and your business needs.
Brief Narrative A written section (2-6 pages) that covers:
- Your project and how it achieves the goal of the grant.
- How you intend to use the funding.
- The anticipated impact of the funding on your business
- Spanish and English narratives accepted
Eligibility
In order to be eligible to submit for any of the Changemaker Grants you must:
- Be a for-profit business based within the City of Tucson (including the City of South Tucson).
- Have 50 or fewer employees.
- Be registered to do business in the State of Arizona unless the business is a sole proprietorship (or will be registered prior to disbursement of funds).
- Be registered as a DBA if the sole proprietorship does business under a name other than the owner’s.
- Be independently owned and operated and not be dominant in its field of operation.
- Not be facing any pending litigation or legal action.
- Not have any business owners, including all managing members and/or officers, who have been convicted of financial crimes within the past three years.
- Not have received alternate federal, state, or local grant funding to cover the same costs and/or uses included in this application.
- Not be suspended or debarred from the use of federal funds.
- Not be a franchise, unless the franchise is not a subsidiary of a larger corporation.
Please note that specific grants may also have additional eligibility requirements (ex. years in business) that must also be observed.
Rules and Guidelines:
- No company may receive more than $10,000 in total funding, though you may choose to apply to multiple grants.
- Funding cannot be used for ineligible uses (listed in a section below).
- Your business must be based in the City of Tucson (including the City of South Tucson).
- If your company is selected, you will be required to adhere to the following:
- Submit a copy of IRS Form Tax Form W 9, you will receive a 1099 at the end of the year reporting.
- Submit an IRS EIN #, ITIN #, or SS #.
- Provide a business bank account for fund disbursements. Funding cannot be disbursed to a personal bank account.
- Grantees will be required to provide verification that funds were received once the funds have been disbursed, for our reporting purposes.
- Grantees must agree to complete all surveys and date forms associated with the reporting for this funding.
Each finalist may be required to attend an in-person final interview prior to award disbursement as well as an in-person grant kick-off session.
