Queridos tucsonenses:
Mientras nos preparamos para celebrar el 4 de Julio la próxima semana, he estado pensando en cuán importante es aprovechar el tiempo para celebrar nuestras libertades. Mientras Muchos de nosotros pueden pasar tiempo con la familia y amigos la próxima semana, ver los fuegos artificiales o visitar nuestros parques y piscinas públicas, espero que también hagamos una pausa de unos minutos para reflexionar sobre nuestras libertades que atesoramos. Para mí, los derechos otorgados en la primera enmienda, nuestra libertad al voto, y nuestro derecho a decidir lo que haremos con nuestro cuerpo son lo más importante.
Las temperaturas se están elevando y las cigarras están cantando aquí en Tucson. Por favor, manténgase hidratados y protéjanse del sol. La ciudad de Tucson y sus socios están instalando por todas partes centros de refrescamiento, algunos con duchas, agua y comida. Somos muy afortunados de te tener en Tucson piscinas y chapoteaderos con propulsión a chorro por toda la ciudad y la celebración del Día de San Juan.

Espero que todos tengamos tiempo para disfrutar este cambio de estaciones con nuestras familias y disfrutemos de todas las increíbles importunidades que tenemos en Tucson. ¡Tengo muchas ganas de compartir con ustedes las diferentes formas en que podemos de disfrutar de nuestra ciudad y mantenernos frescos! Dear Tucsonans,
As we are preparing to celebrate the 4th of July next week, I’ve been thinking how important it is to take time to celebrate our freedoms. While many of us may spend time with family and friends over the next week, watch the fireworks or visit our parks and pools, I hope we will also take a few minutes to think about the freedoms we hold dear. For me, our first amendment rights, our freedom to vote, and our right to control over our own bodies are paramount.
Protect yourselves from the sun
The temperatures are rising and the cicadas are singing here in Tucson. Please stay hydrated and sun-safe. The City of Tucson and partners all over are opening cooling centers, some with showers, food and water. We are lucky to have City of Tucson pools and splash-pads open throughout the city and the celebration of Día de San Juan.

As we are approaching the end of our fiscal year here at the City of Tucson, I wanted to make sure you have access to the Annual Reports that have been put together by City Departments.
